My name is Silvana Giraudo and I tell you my story.
My passion for drawing started many years ago, when my daughter would bring home her art homework from middle school. I would then pick up the colors and try it myself.
This brought back memories of the drawings I loved so much since elementary school.
So, little by little, stroke by stroke, I awakened what had been dormant for so long; a flower, a landscape, a composition made with everyday objects and then pencils, colors, brushes, and empty canvases to fill.
I opened a door and walked through my landscapes and the thousand colors of autumn, the freshness of spring, the dazzling light of summer, and the delicate poetry of winter.
There were love stories and friendships among elves, fairies, scarecrows, butterflies in the company of a magical and dreamy nature.
Years passed, and while cultivating this passion as I worked, I also found time to graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts which gave me much, especially in terms of artistic growth.
Now, retired and grandmother, I continue to paint.
Although my themes and style have changed over time, looking back I see that the somewhat naive atmosphere of my beginnings has remained unchanged in spirit and inspiration.
The positive judgment of critics and an attentive public to my works have encouraged me to continue exhibiting in numerous local and international exhibitions.
Now a new door opens with the opening of my personal studio where I work and exhibit my artistic creations.
The play of colors and their happy combination with chromatic gradations make me enter an infinite world of impressions and emotions. I hope to offer the same sensations to those who will look at my work.
I thank all the people who over the years and still today appreciate my paintings on canvas and porcelain; but above all, a big thank you goes to the many women and friends I have met along the way, because in them I have found the enthusiasm to look forward.
